I love Photography
My name is Erick Amirkhanian and I’m a Los Angeles photographer. My original career was in Information Technology. I spent 15 years dealing with various computer technologies ranging from electronic security and encryption to software installation and support. As a senior IT analyst at The Walt Disney Company I supported the executives and the executive administrative assistants for the Walt Disney Imagineering, the Walt Disney Consumer Products, Walt Disney Buena Vista Studios, ABC TV, Miramax Films, and Disney Aviation Group. In 1987 I graduated from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. My college experience was eye opening; it was during this time that I realized that I am passionate about people photography namely portraits and headshots, I also found great joy in product photography. In my photography sessions I realized I was able to create a momentary but intense bond with others, I was and still am amazed at how much people reveal in front of the camera, knowingly or unknowingly. Lighting products or more specifically, lighting for jewelry is both a technique and an art. It requires technical know how to identify what type of light to use for the type of jewelry. It is an art where painting with light is what brings out the very best in jewelry metals and gemstones. It goes without saying that hand-in-hand with professional jewelry photography is digital retouching where your jewelry is brought to life with retouching techniques and artistry. My offer to you is my expertise and combined knowledge of over 20 years in product and jewelry photography and to assist you in your marketing and advertisement goals.
