Jimmy Miller is an award-winning screenwriter and editor from a small town in Ohio. Raised by his mother and older sisters, Jimmy is driven to tell stories that empower and center female protagonists in unique, untold stories with complex male characters who break the Hollywood mold. His personal struggles with addiction and neurodiversity give his characters layers of honesty, fear, and perseverance that are both terrifying and inspiring. He writes to create community, connection, and joy.
His current screenplay SLUGGER has won the Stage 32 Female-Driven Screenplay Contest, the Austin Film Festival, the PAGE International Screenwriting Awards, and WeScreenplay Unique Voices. It was a Semi-Finalist in Screencraft, Cinestory, and Filmmatic competitions and a Semi-Finalist (Top 1%) in the Academy Nicholl Fellowships. It’s received four “Recommends”, is currently on the Coverfly Red List (Top 1%), and has a Slated score of 80 (Top 1%).
Jimmy currently resides in Burbank, California.
