About Sarah
I am the award-winning screenwriter of short film Santa's Grotty which won an Award for Merit at the Elevation Indie Film Awards (2019). I wrote short film A Sorry Story, made by Box Revolution Ltd. Extremely delighted that A Sorry Story has been winning awards on the film festival circuit in 2021:
Screenpower Film Festival 2021: Best Screenplay, Best Director and Best Actor.
IndieEye Film Awards: Best Director: Sarah-Beth Brown, Best D.O.P: Jane Armstrong, Best Actress: Bronagh Fallon, Best Ensemble Cast.
A SORRY STORY has been officially selected for:
Lift Off Festival, part of Pinewood Studios Festival: 26 July - 09 August 2021.
London Seasonal Short Film Festival: Honourable Mention.
Sweden Film Awards 2021: Best Female Director.
As a playwright, I wrote a historical theatre piece on the Suffrage Movement in Scotland. My play called Hard Fought Victory was performed for International Women's Day in March 2019 and March 2020.
In 2018, I wrote a comedic play script called Home Body. Produced by Short Attention Span Theatre, it was performed at the Gilded Balloon in Edinburgh. I am currently adapting this into a short musical.
I also work as a freelance Script Consultant.
