CEO/Producer of No Reason Productions, LLC and creator of hails from back east, Boston, MA. Beginning his career studying acting and singing at The University of Massachusetts, he moved to New York City to continue studying at The School for Film and Television. He also taught a “Voice for Actors” class at the school. While in New York, he worked on the HBO prison drama, “OZ” and the Off-Broadway play, Our Country’s Good, directed by famed british actress Julia Carey.
In 2005, Tyler created No Reason Productions, LLC in New York, a production company and later that year moved the company to Hollywood, CA. No Reason Productions produced it’s first project in 2007, a theatrical play named “Den of Thieves” written by Stephen Adly Guirgis and directed by Alan Spero in Hollywood. Tyler executive produced the play and played Flaco in the ensemble cast. Tyler again teamed up with Alan Spero in 2008 to produce the horror anthology web series Five Minutes to Midnight.
While searching the web for a place to promote the series, Tyler had a revelation. Although there are numerous genre fan sites and news sites, there wasn’t a site out there specific to horror and horror filmmakers, like Funny or Die is for comedy and comedy filmmakers. A new haven for the independent horror filmmaker, artist, and writer was born, .
In 2010, Tyler created, Good Night Sleep Tight, a feature length horror film shot as a five short film horror franchise exclusively for . Tyler writes, directs and produces the project. Like in a franchise, each will have it’s own trailer, poster and promotional push announcing it’s release. Once all five parts are released, the entire project will be the length of a 90 minute feature film.
