Damian is a screenwriter, comic book creator, and photographer known for approaching contemporary issues through the lens of science fiction, fantasy, and historical fiction. He has adapted classic and ‘difficult to film’ properties such as Moby Dick and Frankenstein into adventures accessible to modern audiences. His work includes feature film screenplays, TV pilots, graphic novels, theater, and photography.
Damian is currently a U.S. diplomat posted overseas. He has served at six U.S. embassies and consulates in countries including Tajikistan, Pakistan, Georgia, Russia, and Papua New Guinea. His lifelong love of travel, which began as a Peace Corps volunteer serving in Kyrgyzstan in 1999, has enriched his storytelling and lends authenticity to the voices of his characters.
