Laura Fortino started her career acting, writing and producing in the Theatre program at California State University at Long Beach. After college she went on to study Meisner acting at Playhouse West in Los Angeles California. While at Playhouse, Laura performed in many scenes and one act plays and also Los Angeles longest running play Welcome Home Soldier. She performed in WHS for 10 years while pursuing her acting career in film and television. Two years ago while producing and acting in a short film, Laura was asked to teach Meisner acting in Paris and so she began her career as an acting teacher. For two years now, she has been teaching students abroad in person and via zoom. She has also written two more shorts and produced them and they are in festivals now. She is currently working on writing and producing a sitcom in which she will also act with an ensemble once funding is secured. She currently is writing another short as well as a feature.
