About Gunnar

I made my feature debut with ”Trädgårdsgatan / Garden Lane” in 2017. The screenplay was nominated for Guldbaggen (Swedish Academy Award) in 2018. I went on to write episodes for the second season of Dragomir Mrsic’s Nordic noir ”Alex”, and the first season for Jens Lapidus “Top Dog”. My second feature film, a sequel to the Danish fantasy hit ”Skammerens Datter” premiered at the beginning of 2019 and won Best Children’s Film at the Danish Film Award, SVEND Prisen in 2019. The screenplay which I wrote was also nominated for Robert Prisen in 2020. In 2020 I co-wrote “Orca” together with actor/writer and director Josephine Bornebusch and was once again nominated for a Guldbaggen (Swedish Academy Award). Currently, I am the creator and head writer of an untitled crime-drama series that’s in development with Warner.
