SYNOPSIS:
Sara and Petra are friends from church. Sara is still mourning the loss of her husband after 15 years. Petra invites her to a party honoring Our Lady of Guadalupe. It is there where she confesses to Sara that she too has demons but hers surround her sister and her sister’s husband who has died, and later that day will be buried. Petra must learn that for some people it’s just not time to talk, until it’s time. Meanwhile, in another church, two cousins reunite after 10 years just before the start of a funeral. Dead is Nick’s uncle, Adam’s father, and the two now-grown men proceed to have a philosophical discussion about morality and family. Nick wants to say something but avoids by telling other stories until Adam tells him to Stop trying to solve the problems of others (meaning his parents) and to just walk away. Instead, we learn through a dream what promise Nick has made and the revelation of this promise drives the climax of the film when Petra suddenly arrives to this church to find It empty and her son, Nick, ready to talk.
