About David

Start with why... why be a comedy screenwriter? Because laughter is seriously good medicine for the body and soul. Laughter stimulates the heart and lungs, relieves stress, relaxes muscles, releases neuropeptides that boost the immune system, relieves pain, and helps people connect better with each other.

David enjoys giving unsolicited advice to his adult children, playing poker (over 65 road trips to casinos in the last decade), telling funny stories, and creating and writing diverse characters who defy their stereotypes. Ask how he talked Mrs. Bass into driving to an all-night poker game at 6:00 a.m. to make buttermilk pancakes (from scratch!) for everyone. He's talented, funny, relatable, responsive, coachable, and easy to work with.

His short film PRIORITY BOARDING was completed in February 2023 and has been submitted to numerous film festivals.

His feature film SUGAR IS MAGIC is currently in development with an Indie producer in LA.
