Ssemyalo Ibrahim is a Ugandan Actor and Voiceover Artist. He is best known for his roles in the films The Kitara Chronicles, Chicken Thief, The Wave and TV series The KOJJA, POPI and Borders.
Ssemyalo was born in Gayaza - Wakiso, Uganda. His father Edris Kasozi, served in the Local Government Council. At his primary level of education, he joined school entertainment programs at St. Peter Primary School - Buwambo. He completed his education from Cornerstone High School - Nangabo in Kasangati.
He made his professional acting debut in 2019 at Modern Movies Production for three years under the guidance of Yiga Sadat. In 2019, he made his film debut with a supporting role in The HOT SPOT directed by Yiga Sadat. In 2022, he appeared as 'Dr. Job' in the movie Break the Chain. In the same year, he appeared in the COVID 19 film The WAVE where he played the role of 'Mugisha "The Shopkeeper". The film had various nominations in different festivals including the Uganda Film Festival and African Movie Academy Awards in 2022.
He made some notable appearances as 'Short Man' in the M-Net sitcom The KOJJA directed by Kennedy Kihiray; “Army Officer” in Deadly Teen, and also featured in My Love From Another Land. After several supporting and minor roles, he received the role as ‘Speed’ in Borders series, then as a soccer agent in Soccer Heart directed by Kevin Johns Nabukenya that aired on Pearl Magic Prime and Showmax.
In 2024, he was selected for the role as Ugandan crime Detective 'Afande Mwesigwa' in the StarTimes series Customer Care on Makula TV channel directed by Ahmed Lubowa. The role made him a popular television actor in Uganda and the rest of the world.
