About Julia

Julia was taught screenwriting by Canadian filmmaker Ingrid Veninger at The University of Toronto, and was mentored by comedy writer Daniela Saioni through WIFT-T. While working on set in Toronto's indie industry, Julia wrote/directed/produced the feature film "A Girl, A Boy, A Penny ..." (2019) - now on multiple platforms including Tubi and Amazon Prime - and her sci-fi short film "The Uncanny Valley" (2021) is now available online. Recently, Julia's feature length script "Eira" was a Semifinalist at the Screencraft Sci-Fi & Fantasy Screenwriting Competition (2021).
