Ernesto N Rivas

Ernesto began his career in the film industry in Long Beach, California when his Uncle David J Negrón, a well know and respected storyboard artist and illustrator in the film industry in Los Angeles, he hired Rivas as a camera operator. He also assisted his uncle on a number of films including Raiders of the Lost Ark, Star Trek The Motion Picture and many more. At the time Rivas’ interest was in marketing and advertising. After leaving his uncle’s company, Somi Corporation, he went to work for a variety of design firms and advertising agencies. His work included graphic design, computer graphics, print advertising, outdoor advertising, radio and television commercials and web design. His clients included many corporations like Bank of America, Apple Computer, Wells Fargo, Intel, USAA and the like.

After returning to his hometown of San Antonio, TX from Boston, MA, Rivas went through a conversion in his life and faith. It was during this time he decided to dedicate his life to good or Christian projects. It was not long after this time he met Roberto Rosas while on retreat. It was then Rivas read Rosas’ book, The Temptation of the Miracle Weaver. It is this book the Rivas realized a film version of the book which has become the film Our Father.
