About Lark

Lark Lee is a Korean migrant living in Australia. She is a writer, director, editor and producer who loves entertaining audiences with captivating stories and visually appealing films.
As an emerging filmmaker, her first feature film project ‘Street No. 4’, was awarded a development fund by the Queensland Government, Logan City Council and Australia Korea Foundation in 2021. The funding allowed her to complete a high-quality proof-of-concept short film and write its feature film script. The short film has been selected at multiple Academy Award qualifying festivals, such as LA Shorts Film Festival, Holly Shorts Film Festival and it screened at the opening night of St. Kilda Film Festival 2023. It also won various awards from other international festivals.
Lark wrote and directed two seasons of the heart-warming short documentary web series, ‘Mother’s Table’ covering inter-generational Asian family stories behind the restaurants in Brisbane for BrisAsia Festival (2022 – 2023) hosted by the Brisbane City Council. Season one streamed on SBS on Demand.
Her new drama web series, ‘Little Korea’, is in the competition of Digital Original Initiative 2023 by SBS, NITV and Screen Australia.
Lark looks forward to telling inspiring and empowering human stories that would positively impact this world for global audiences.
