Meet Justice Butler
"Houston's Golden Voice" Justice Butler is a writer, activist, radio host and media personality whose vast experience spans a wide variety of styles, mediums and genres.
She earned a trusted reputation while working with top stars including Stevie Wonder, Hector Elizondo, Muhammad Ali, Maya Angelou, and George Clooney.
Justice has been featured by numerous television outlets nationwide, including being interviewed by renowned reporter Soledad O'Brien.
Her remarkable life story is a testament to the power of determination, passion, and unwavering resilience. While a student in Houston, Justice hit on hard times and became homeless, and eventually made her way to LA's Skid Row. Justice is the subject of the film "InVisible" which brought Houston to their knees. The film was spotlighted by former LA Mayor Eric Garcerti , Houston Community College, HCCTV and Philadelphia's historic Temple University.
Justice' public outcry demanding accountability and transparency from Skid Row Housing Trust resulted in millions of dollars in mis-used, improperly allocated, and under-utilized funds being re-routed to their intended purpose of helping Skid Row residents into safe, clean housing.
She is currently working on her feature film, a historical-fantasy epic entitled "Slavery in a Dream" that transports a modern white supremacist into the life of a pre-Civil War plantation slave in the Deep South. The project poignantly documents the heartbreaking trials and reprehensible acts faced by slaves in early America, and the transformational power of family, love, and forgiveness.
