About Nathan

I have been writing "award winning screen plays" for more than 25 years. Of course only for my biggest fan "myself" as I have never shared any with the world. I have always been fascinated by movies and the industry. I started writing short scripts when I was about 10 years old with a number two pencil and lined paper. Creating crazy characters and even crazier worlds was my escape and would remain my escape until now. The idea of me writing if you knew a little about me is wild. I grew up with major learning disabilities including dyslexia which I still struggle with today in my forties. I did not learn to read, nor did I read an entire book until I was much older. I have become quite proficient at reading but still struggle with spelling and grammar which I'm sure you can imagine is quite frustrating for a writer.
When I was in my twenties I purchased Final Draft and took a night course for screenwriting. I also purchased ScreenWriting for Dummies which of course taught me everything I needed to know!! Over the next 25 years I would write on and off finishing many scripts but never sharing them. I am turning 45 this year and scriptwriting is still my passion and my escape from the struggles of life. I have written a few scripts that I am proud of but trying to figure out where I want to go from here? I heard about Stage32 and am hoping to meet and network with others that just love the whole film industry. I am not sure I have what it takes to make it as a screenwriter but am at the age where I need to give it a go or let it go. I have decided to give it a go. I believe my struggles with the written language does not affect my creative language.
With all this said if anyone has any advice for me or can give me some direction on how to best use this platform I would very much appreciate it!! If anyone would like to bounce their ideas off me or talk to me about their scripts I would love to hear from you. I am no expert but would be happy to offer what I can.I look forward to meeting and talking with many of you.
