Harry Potter meets Community in this coming of age comedic series about a secret society of magicians in Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey.

SYNOPSIS:

When the Molting Rabbit identifies 12-year-old science nerd Max Sanchez as the last hope for a secret society of magicians, panic erupts because he doesn’t believe in magic. The unrest threatens to blow their cover, maintained for generations in the quiet town of Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey, so Daisy, Max’s mom, enrolls him in remedial magic 101 to quell the fear. Each magic lesson of the week parallels a conflict in the community and Max must use both magic and science to keep the peace.

Through his lessons and experience with the magicians who want anyone but him as their chosen hero, Max realizes that it isn’t the people who are his antagonists, its their fear. Blending his passion for scientific inquiry and his growing belief in magic Max learns how to offer his foes the benefit of the doubt, authentic communication, and redemption. Max’s graduation isn’t just the goal at the end of the series, it’s a step by step process, a lot like growing up itself.
