Seanan Palmero Waugh is a screenwriter and playwright based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her award-winning pilot Ho-Ho-Kus Pocus is inspired by her experience growing up as a Hispanic who didn’t fit into the expected stereotypes. Her short play play Crock Of was a finalist for the Heideman Award at the Actors Theatre of Louisville Humana Festival’s National Ten-Minute Play Contest, a finalist for the Maxim Mazumdar New Play One Act Competition from Alleyway Theatre, and is included in the playwriting curriculum at Dartmouth. Her play Go the Vole was included in Berkeley Repertory Theatre’s Summer Playwriting Workshop and was a finalist for the Women Playwrights Series at Centenary Stage Company. Oil and Watercolor was a semi-finalist for the B-Street Theatre’s New Comedies Festival, IATI’s Cimientos 2021, and a Second Rounder at Austin Film Festival’s Playwriting Competition. She received her MFA in dramatic writing from Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Drama.
