Simon Quiroz

Simon Quiroz is a filmmaker, director, screenwriter, educator, and creative technologist with a deep commitment to storytelling and innovation. As an assistant professor at CSU Channel Islands, Simon fosters cinematic creativity, guiding students to explore narrative possibilities. His expertise spans directing, screenwriting, VFX, color grading, post-production, and immersive media, blending cultural insight with technical precision. Previously, he mentored students at UT Austin in advanced production techniques, including VR and stereoscopic imaging. Simon holds an MFA in media production from UT Austin and BAs from UC San Diego.
