Italian - Canadian director Francesco Giannini, always had his heart set on storytelling. Whether it was creating short skits with his brother in their basement as kids, or spending his 20s acting in films such as X- Men and 300 to pay for his degree, Gianninis one true love has always been Cinema. In 2019 he made his feature film directorial debut with the genre film HALL now in theaters across Japan, Canada, Mexico and the US.
He is now working on two screenplays, both finalists at the Academy Nicholl Fellowships Awards and official Black List entry in Los Angeles. He is also developing his first feature film in Italian language Citta doro, an italian-canadian co-production set in Calabria, in his fathers hometown. Francesco holds a Master in Sociology from Concordia University.
One of his first short films The Prince '' was officially selected at the Milano International Film Festival. His Dystopian short film The Flare debuted to critical acclaim at the Fantasia International Film Festival. Francescos feature film directorial debut Hall is now released in theaters across Canada, US, Japan and Mexico.
