Derrick Wayne Mullins writer/director/producer of short films (One Day, One Life, The Window, and In Deep) lives in Los Angeles, California. He received his Associates Degree in Business Management from Schoolcraft Community College (Livonia, Michigan) in 2000 and completed a one year immersion program from Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts (Southfield, Michigan) with an emphasis in radio and television production in 2003. After his five-year career as a account executive and independent film director in Detroit, Derrick decided it was time for a change of scenery (and weather) and moved to sunny Los Angeles, where he was offered to work as a production assistant on shows like Paris Hilton's BFF, Celebrity Rehab, Sober House, and High School Music-Get in the Picture. In addition to writing, Mr. Mullins is a regular contributor to the Make-A-Wish Foundation and American Cancer Society stemming from his own fight with cancer and his mother passing away in 1993 of the very same illness.
