Cleo Berry has an affinity for comedic storytelling; in front of and especially behind the camera. Growing up in the most dangerous small city in America, Little Rock, Arkansas; forced him to find his talents, conjure some dreams and quickly move to the Big Apple to chase them. With a knack for physical comedy and improv, Cleo has recurred and guest starred on numerous TV comedies and commercials. He's spent the last decade in Hollywood; booking, testing and reading tons of scripts. Which led him to merge his performance side with his writers side. Along with his writing partner, he’s written a number of diverse pilots and specs. Including a Christmas episode spec for the CBS multi-cam series, "The Neighborhood".
Cleo is aiming to push well-rounded gay characters, deliciously layered black stories and multifaceted overweight leads into the forefront, the mainstream. He understands the comedic beats of a scene and how to strengthen them. His grit, incredibly diverse background and innate comedic abilities make him a great fit for any writers room. Combined, they make him an exceptional addition to a multi-cam writers room.
