About Ryan

Recently graduated from the University of Iowa where I studied Cinema and English/Creative Writing. Looking to broaden my knowledge of the film industry and the film art form. Hopes to write and direct my own features, and have spent most of my recent time trying to better myself as a screenwriter.

I am originally from Fort Dodge, Iowa. From as far back as I can remember I have been mesmerized by films. Most of my early memories are situated in front of my family's box television that sat on the floor in the corner of the living room, my brother and I constantly watching, rewinding, and watching films again. As the youngest in the family, I was exposed to films and music a six-year-old perhaps shouldn't be exposed to. Nevertheless, I cherish that my parents found that I was mature enough to handle the material because some of the earlier films that I loved (Halloween, Terminator 2, The Godfather, and The Aviator) opened my eyes to the many possible ways to create in the art of film. I just hope that I can use cinema to give back to someone else as much as has been given to me.
