Laron Austin

Laron a filmmaker based out of Atlanta, GA to study film at Georgia State as well as the Art Institute of
Atlanta. After several internships he stayed to join the vibrant Atlanta film community.

His debut narrative short film B.A.M. screened in several film festivals and garnered multiple Best Short Film awards.
He linked up with Reel One Entertainment Worldwide as they produced his first feature documentary called
BeatMakers which was released on Hulu.

Shortly after the release of Beatmakers he directed the feature film Step Off, which was
released by Lionsgate and later ran on premium cable outlet Starz. He followed that by directing the thriller
blackhats and the dark comedy Beauty and the Beholder which both found release on Amazon Prime.
