About Erik

Erik Markus Schuetz was born in 1973 in Germany. He is known for his work on Ong-bak (2003), Revenge of the Warrior (2005) and Big Game (2014).
At the age of 11, he was trained in gymnastics and Karate. At 16, he also trained in boxing and weight lifting and later became a bouncer, which led to a career in Muay Thai / Kickboxing. He fought as a professional in Thailand, Spain and the United States.
He produces Short and Feature Films and is one of the few action directors and filmmakers in Germany.
