Armed with mistletoe and a cryptic message from a fortune cookie, an idealistic young woman convinced she’ll meet her soul mate on Christmas Eve must choose between rekindling a romance with the career-driven ex who broke her heart or surrendering to the steadfast charm of the best friend who mended it.
SYNOPSIS:
You will meet your soul mate on Christmas Eve.
The night before her seventeenth birthday, Isabel Ashcroft cracks open a fortune cookie that delivers news that will change the trajectory of her love life for the next fifteen years, so when she meets Jackson Banks at a holiday mixer—as foretold—she is certain he is the one. But after a year together London calls, and Jackson makes the move, leaving Isabel to pick up the pieces of their fractured relationship and her broken heart.
Fast forward another year and Isabel has moved back to her hometown, opened a retail store, and completely sworn off soul mates of any kind. She’s determined to put “fate” and fortune cookies behind her, finally deciding to give Garrett Faulkner, her best friend since ninth grade, a chance at a real relationship. But almost as soon as she agrees to a date with him Jackson returns, apologetic, citing the massive mistake he made in leaving her.
Christmas is fast approaching, and now both Garrett and Jackson are vying for and determined to win Isabel’s affection once and for all.
Whom does she choose? The best friend—the one who’s been by her side since high school—or the repentant ex-boyfriend whose coming was prophesied?
