About Erin

I have a degree in English Communication and a master’s in liberal studies with a concentration in English. I’ve taught online writing and literature classes at the college level since 2009 (before online learning went mainstream and I had to explain my job to everyone).

I’ve been writing seriously since college, so I have a metaphorical trunk full of IP. My stories are mostly character-driven, and I lean toward rom-coms with love interests who don’t quite get along at first. Snappy banter is my favorite, and I love a Happily Ever After.

I enjoy writing both screenplays and novels (one of the pen name YA novels I self-published was a Goodreads Readers Choice Awards nominee). In terms of screenplays, I have some originals (one of which was a Scriptapalooza Quarterfinalist), some originals that are connected to novels I’d previously written, and I actually LOVE the process of adapting novels for the screen. My dream scripts would be THE TRUE CONFESSIONS OF CHARLOTTE DOYLE by Avi and THE MUSEUM OF EXTRAORDINARY THINGS by Alice Hoffman. (Hint: I’ve already written them.) :)

My teen years were spent watching the VHS versions (Blockbuster Video!) of all my favorite movies on endless repeat: YOU'VE GOT MAIL, NEVER BEEN KISSED, TEN THINGS I HATE ABOUT YOU, et al.

And TITANIC.

Always TITANIC.
