About Jane
My screenplay, "Growing Up Crazy," was inspired by true events (something that happened to my mother in the 1960s). That script is a Nicholl Quarterfinalist (Top 5%). It's also a Selected Project - Stowe Story Labs; Winner - First 10 Pages Showcase; Finalist - Filmmatic; Semifinalist - Diverse Voices; and in the top 25% - BlueCat, Shore Scripts, and Scriptapalooza. This script also received a "Recommend" from WeScreenplay and is in Coverfly's Top 4% (out of 76,000 scipts).
I have 20+ years' nonfiction writing experience, which includes writing/producing industrial films (IBM, Amoco/BP, Pizza Hut, Ryder Trucks, etc.) and working with directors/actors; writing magazine and newspaper articles; and writing I.T. materials.

Growing Up Crazy Budget: $5M - $10M | Historical ⋄ Drama NICHOLL QUARTERFINALIST. When a mother becomes hyperemotional after her latest child is born, her husband commits her to an insane asylum. Their horrified teenage daughter knows her mother isn't mentally ill. To free her mom from the asylum and its medically dubious treatments before they drive her crazy, the shy girl must battle the callous medical staff; her hard-hearted father; and an uncaring community, while trying to preserve her own sanity. (This 1960s story was inspired by my own mother's experience.)
