Julio Vallejo

Julio Vallejo is founder and executive director of PIGMENTOCRACIA. With over 20 years of experience as a media and entertainment executive in the United States and Mexico, he has specialized on corporate strategy and market intelligence focused on the Latinx market in the US. He is a founding team member of Maya Cinemas, a company with the mission to develop, build, own and operate modern, first-run, megaplex movie theaters in underserved, family oriented, Latino-dominant communities. Mr. Vallejo has a deep understanding and experience on Race, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (REDI) issues. Julio holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics. He serves on the Board of Directors of several non-profit organizations. Since 2005, Julio has been working on visibilize and challenge racism in Mexico and among Latinos in the US.
