A young mother traverse from a physician to a cold-blooded killer when she’s involuntarily committed to a mental facility by the very men who murdered her family.

SYNOPSIS:

Inside a church we see a woman on her knees – praying. This is our protagonist, DR. HALLE ADAMS (30s). Wife. Mother. Physician. And most of all, a devout Christian.

She is approached by a colleague, DR. SPETZLER, who implore her to look into the case of one of his patient – the wealthy but psychotic DAVID NEWTON.

Halle embark upon David’s treatment, but David does not just want to be treated, he wants something more. He wants an intimate relationship.

She refuses his advances – but David is not the kind of man who takes “No” for an answer. He’s the kind of man who would go to the extreme to get what he wants – or destroy it. And so he befriends Halle’s husband, BRIAN – in a friendship that soon results in Bryan’s death under mysterious circumstances.

Aggrieved, Halle takes her daughter, ANN (6), upstate to the family’s farmhouse for some quiet time. But David is not quite done with her yet as he tracks her down and invades the farmhouse. What follows is a savage battle that culminates in a ghastly accident.

Halle wakes up in Dr. Spetzler’s medical facility to the news of her daughter’s demise. Knowing her liberty could be damaging to him, David pays Dr. Spetzler to detain her, cut her off from the outside world and subject her to psychoanalytical treatments.

After weeks of torture and abuse, Halle escapes from the facility and ends up in the jungle - where she trudges, half-dead, until she’s rescued by a medical specialist who is also trying to escape his own personal demons.

Convinced that she’s been betrayed by her God, and with nothing left to loose, Halle sets out for revenge and her first stop is Dr. Spetzler’s house - where he confesses that Ann is still alive and in David’s custody – before she puts him to a gruesome death.

Now Halle has a new priority. She still wants her revenge, but more than that she wants her daughter back. And so, she seeks out David and finds him in a coma. Knowing he’s the key to finding her daughter, she abducts him from the hospital and finds a cure for his affliction.

David recovers and brings Ann to the same church where it all began – and here Halle extracts her pound of flesh in a bloody showdown.

As Halle unites with her daughter – she looks at the crucifix in the altar and realize that she was never betrayed after all.
