About Paul
Paul Chantry trained at Brooksby Melton in acting, before gaining a scholarship to Central School Of Ballet and since then has enjoyed a successful performance career. Chantry is the Director of Whoever You Are Productions and co-Artistic Director of the contemporary ballet company Chantry Dance alongside his choreographic partner Rae Piper. His work includes producing and starring in the award-winning 2021 short film 'Whoever You Are' directed by Javier De Frutos (awards include Best Producer, Best Experimental, Best Indie Short - Vegas Movie Awards). Piper and Chantry are also known for choreographing the Olivier-nominated West End production of David Walliams' Gangsta Granny and Billionaire Boy, Opera, Theatre, Musicals and more.
Chantry's performance career includes choreographer Javier De Frutos creating the role of Apollon on Paul in Eternal Damnation to Sancho and Sanchez (Sadler's Wells) and appearing in the original and revival casts of The Most Incredible Thing (Sadler's Wells) choreographed by Javier De Frutos and composed by the Pet Shop Boys. He has also worked on numerous opera productions including Orlando (Opera De Lille, Champs De Elysees and Opera Dijon); La Traviata (Scottish Opera); Bluebeard and Rusalka (Grange Park Opera); One Touch Of Venus (Opera North); The Fairy Queen (English Touring Opera); The Tales of Hoffman and Kismet (English National Opera).
