Cheryl Wade

I am introducing myself as the writer of the original feature length SciFi/Fantasy screenplay, The Luminous Child. I am a woman of mixed race and Caribbean descent who travelled to New York City as a sixteen year old and left fifteen years later as a General Surgeon.

I returned to the Caribbean, where I married, raised my daughter and practiced General Surgery for twenty years before retiring after the untimely death of my husband in 2011.

As a way of coping with overwhelming grief I decided to pursue those things that have always fascinated me- fairy tales and myths, symbols and comparative religion as it relates to the Divine Feminine Archetype.

I became obsessed with the Gnostic myth of Sophia, the Fallen Goddess. In 2015 I self published a small book, The Luminous Child based on that myth. I remain passionate about sharing the story of the reemerging Divine Feminine Archetype.

Over the past several years I wrote the screenplay of the same name, bringing the story into today’s reality in order to share this paradigm shifting myth to a worldwide audience during this time of unprecedented generalized craziness, paranoia, and all out insanity.

I know this may seem like a lofty and unrealistic goal but nothing ventured is nothing gained. I chose to create that which I desire.
