Mark Koetsier is a 28-year entertainment industry veteran focusing on animated films. Mark graduated from Sheridan College with a bachelors degree in animation.
The first years of his career was dedicated to working at commercial houses as well as large studios and spent 10 years with the Walt Disney Feature Animation Studio animating characters on over 30 featured films including Lion King's “Scar”, Pocahantas' “Governor Ratcliff", Tarzan's “Jane”, The Hunchback of Notre Dame's “Esmeralda” and many more. Later, following his passion of developing characters and weaving compelling stories, he moved to Dreamworks Animation for 12 years as a storyboard artist where he created stories for feature films such as Kung Fu Panda, How to Train Your Dragon, Puss in Boots, Peabody and Sherman and more. Mark recently was called in to co-directed on a animated feature film for Mass Animation called Blazing Samurai. He worked over a year in development pulling talent together, putting up two full screenings of the film and recording actors such as Samuel Jackson, Michael Cera and more.
Mark directed a film called 10 Lives for Original Force. He pulled pulled together character designs, test animation and two full screenings until financial problems with Original Force ended the production.
Currently, Mark is now helping out on numerous productions for studios.
