Alen Barklay

Alen Barklay is a contemporary realist painter who lives and works in Ontario, Canada.

He is a painter, book illustrator, cover designer, writer.

His distinctive personal style emanates joy and peace and expresses the vibrant spirit and atmosphere of the imagination

Picturesque landscapes, tropical birds and flowers, musical instruments, and farmers tending to their fields are all brought to life with contrasting and harmonious colours and his imagination. As the artist explains, “I am a storyteller and I welcome you to join me on this visual journey.”

As a child, Alen received prizes for his talent. From a young age, he has believed, “You can create anything once you see it in your mind.”

He is a member of the Ontario Arts International Artists Showcase Gallery, an art program that rewards artistic excellence.
