A single black mom and video gamer finds her ability to overcome anxiety gives her a super power courtesy of a rogue government mind control program that draws her and her son down the rabbit hole of espionage and deception. 

SYNOPSIS:

Young SHANITRA WOOTEN, a 'tween gamer, is introduced to the soothing voice of DR. CAMERON GOTTLIEB and the mind-control system that will change her life. 30 years later, Shanitra is a single mother with a close but strained relationship to a teenaged son, TADARIUS. She is running late to work when she has an anxiety attack. She recovers only to get into a fender bender. When the other driver pulls a gun, she dissociates and sees herself as the protagonist in a video game. In real life, she executes lethal combat skills. Only the memory of her son speaking to her snaps her out of it, and she flees. When government agents RYAN VAUGHN and ERIC MAJORS discover her viral video, they move to arrest her. Her Programming activated, she handily beats them both, and their lives are only saved by a phone call from her son that snaps her out of it. Vaughn reveals the truth to her – the government had plans to expand MK Ultra to using video games to brainwash patients. Somehow, it got out into the internet. It soon becomes clear that someone is activating people who have been programmed, including a group programmed to believe they are elite soldiers who are conscripted to save a child from alien invaders - Tadarius. Vaughn argues to instead hire Shanitra as an expert consultant. With her son in danger, Shanitra and Vaughn raid the school auditorium. The duo gets the upper hand and either incapacitate the others or convince them to stand down. Later, Shanitra has accepted a job as an espionage expert while mending her relationship with Tadarius. Vaughn visits to share that he, too, is programmed by the same person. He also discovers that he's developing feelings for Shanitra. In the final moment, we see that Dr. Gottlieb, the Spider in the web who targeted Shanitra's son is observing her, still. She intends to see what Shanitra can really do.
