About Anthony

Anthony E. Commodore, a native Washingtonian began his career in the filming industry in late 2007 as a stage play actor. Commodore, as he’s notably referred to, added to his resume by also becoming a film actor in 2008. With the gained experience as a film and stage performer, Commodore decided to take the leap of faith as he opened his first film production company in late 2008 and named it MalaCom Production. Under this new company, Commodore wrote, filmed and directed several projects but cherished his first full length horror titled, “Why Us?” in 2012. In 2015, the horror film made its appearance on the big screen, showing at the Bowie Center for the Performing Arts in Bowie, Maryland.

Continuing with his passion in the filming industry, Commodore opened his second film production company named Commodore Independent Filmworks (CIF) in 2017 which replaced MalaCom Production. In the short existence of CIF, Commodore has already created and produced three amazing filming projects. “Undeniable” The Tray Chaney Story which won several awards in the film festival circuit such as Best Documentary, Best Sound, Best Editor and Best Actor. “King Sun” the dramatic Middle Eastern mob series (Pilot Episode filmed), and “Uproar” the comedy series (Three episodes filmed). These projects have been submitted to the Film Festival circuit along with streaming platforms and are currently awaiting consideration.

Commodore didn’t stop there as he added more projects to his repertoire, with loglines, synopsis’, treatments and scripts to projects such as “The Other Foot (Feature)”, “A Cougar’s Heart (Feature)”, “The Peculiar Life of S.L. Reeves, Ph.D (Feature)”, “A Scroone Christmas Carol (Feature), “Principal Agent (Episodic)”, “Her Defense (Made as a Feature and Episodic - won two Screenplay competitions)” and the very first African American female led Anime series, “Hidden Hero”.
