Born and raised in Los Angeles, California. My formative years were in the 1970s so that makes me a Gen-Xer. Grew up poor in a Latino part of town, but my family background is mixed. Both of my parents were immigrants. Attended public schools my whole life, and went to a California State university and I have an MBA. Grew up loving westerns, sci-fi, fantasy, and action movies. As I have grown older my tastes have broadened significantly so today I like all genres but I am very picky. I tend to like things from almost all corners and sources, but I tend to like only a small amount. For example, I only like about 10% of Rap, same with country music, same with just about everything.
I have owned restaurants, done consulting, and even published a comic book (The Goblin Chronicles). My writing partner and I have also written comics for several Dreamworks properties. These days I work as a math teacher, but I am also have my real estate license and my license to sell insurance. My current hobbies are Forex trading, stock market, and being a full time dad. In the days past, I also was an avid table top gamer. Played games like Dungeons and Dragons, Vampire, and Traveller.
I have a couple of unfinished screen plays, and lots of ideas for novels. However, I am interested in learning more about the business side of the entertainment business, like being a producer. I love the creative process too, and my writing partner and I have many outlined ideas that we could present. Also here to just make friends, learn, and network. That is pretty much it for now.
Unique traits: Very philosophical, and I can talk about almost anything under the sun.
