SYNOPSIS:

Based on a true story, a young man who is a very talented basketball player is awarded a college scholarship to play basketball He plans to become a coach but the Great Depression changes all of that and he has to leave college to go home and help his dad try to hang on to the family business. A young priest in his hometown is told to cut the basketball program because they can't afford a coach. He wonders if a very talented young Lutheran man who just came back from college will coach his Catholic team for free. The priest asks the man and he agrees to coach for a year for free and actually coaches for ten years and becomes a beloved coach in the little town as he turns farm kids into basketball stars.
