Michael Cooney

Michael began writing at a young age in his hometown of Galway, Ireland. After winning a best short screenplay award at the Galway Film Fleadh, he moved to Los Angeles to attend Columbia College-Hollywood where he received a BA in Cinema Studies. After graduation, Michael went on to work on the scripts for a number of video games including the multi-million selling franchises Resident Evil 5 and 6, Devil May Cry 4 and Lost Planet 2. Michael later went on to write Man of Tai Chi, Keanu Reeves' directorial debut, and shortly thereafter completed his own directorial debut, The Men, an existential thriller starring Kyle Gallner, Azura Skye, Mary McCormack and Richard Schiff. Michael is currently developing the action-adventure feature, Zero Hour, with director Chad Stahelski (John Wick), and his next directorial effort, Pacha.
