James lives with his wife as empty nesters. They are owned by a tuxedo cat and two grandchildren.
James spent 15 years in Norway as a web designer before the dotcom bubble burst and writer-camera-operator-director-editor of online video commercials in the days of dial-up modems and was editor of a16 millimeter short film (Lars Den Lovloese). He edited reportage during the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway and a daily cooking program (Ginos Mattips) on Norwegian broadcast television. He translated English dialog for a Norwegian feature film script (Water Easy Reach). He has optioned one animated feature film script (Slottet Som Hang i Luften), and taught video production. He's also done a little acting.
Until the pandemic, he was a technical writer of software and jet engine shop manuals.
Currently, he provides freelance script coverage for a couple services. He is also writing a limited series pilot set in Galicia in 1941 and a fantasy pilot.
