Denise Coopersmith is an author, playwright, and an aspiring screenwriter. Ms. Coopersmith was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, where she continues to reside. Ms. Coopersmith, a passionate writer who caught the writing bug in the year of 2003, after a slip and fall accident that left her depressed and suicidal. In 2007, she produced her very first stage play called “No Time To Die.” It earned her raving reviews and a feature in the Detroit Free Press. She put on this stage play in hopes of raising awareness for depression and suicide in our society. In 2015, Ms. Coopersmith felt that her career was beyond the stage, so she attended online courses with Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU). Her majors included English and Creative Writing. As a part-time online student, she maintained a 3.95-grade point average. What makes Ms. Coopersmith so unique with her screenwriting style is that she is not afraid to cross genres.
