MERRILY ALL THE WAY - AN OUT-OF-THE-BOX CHRISTMAS ROMANTIC COMEDY
By Bradford Richardson

GENRE: Romance, Comedy
LOGLINE:

An out-of-the-box Christmas Rom-Com about how the chaos of two very different holiday road-trips leads two mismatched couples to their true romantic destiny.

Comps: ANYONE BUT YOU MEETS meets PLANES, TRAINS AND AUTOMOBILES.

SYNOPSIS:

Rachel Burger, Staff Writer for ONLY MURDERS IN THE BUILDING: “MERRILY ALL THE WAY is excellent - It has the spirit of Christmas all wrapped up in an adorable rom-com. Very strong and very magical.”

Story: Children’s Book Author, Melody, and new friend, Handyman-Vlogger, Josh, spontaneously ditch their Type-A Agents’ itinerary-driven Christmas holiday to catch the last train to Whistler Mountain to help save Melody’s Mom’s bakery. Meanwhile, their Type-A Agents, are given 24 hours to catch-up to them and get their signatures on new contracts, to save their own jobs. While Melody & Josh experience a romantic train journey, their Type-A Agents must survive being mugged, crammed onto a bus, buried in snow, and stranded in a laundromat. As Melody & Josh work to save the bakery they realize they once met as teens on Whistler Mountain, on the peak of “Daredevil’s Run”, when Melody rescued Josh from bullies by jumping onto his toboggan and riding down the mountain into an epic wipe-out. Meanwhile, the Type-A Agents’ wild road-trip has taught them to be less controlling, more spontaneous and has led them to take a chance on love with each other. When both new couples come face-to-face on Whistler Mountain, they’re ready to be friends again and they share a family Christmas morning.

Why Now/Why Me: Christmastime nudges us to open our guarded hearts and take a chance on love, but believing your love will change someone into who you want them to be will only lead to comical consequences. I should know, I’ve been dumped four times over four Christmases.
