Two estranged sisters get mixed up with a modern-day Tony Montana after they find their shitty neighbor dead and his girlfriend knocked out inside his apartment.

SYNOPSIS:

Menita has a hard time speaking up, and sharing her apartment with her sassy but estranged sister Gracia makes her feel even smaller.

But, after a creepy elevator encounter ends with their nasty neighbor disrespecting Menita, Gracia impulsively rushes to her sister’s defense to confront him at his apartment. However, what they find is their neighbor’s dead body, his beat up girlfriend, a bag with a million in cash and a modern-day Tony Montana coming to collect it. With money and their own lives on the line, Gracia, Menita and Kisme must find a way out of this messy entanglement while not fully trusting one another.

The Girls Next Door is a genre-bending real time action comedy thriller that at its core is a story about finding courage within yourself. It’s also a vehicle for showcasing stories told in Spanish first, with authentic Latina immigrant characters not often seen in these narratives.
