I am from New Orleans Louisiana Born and raised. I am black southern politically independent and religiously complicated.
I’ve spent most of my life doing facilitation, activism and organizing around education justice, juvenile I also worked on issues of poverty and women’s reproductive rights.
I am a writer of non-fiction , fiction ,mysteries comedies and sci-fi, horror I also write opinion pieces around education and juvenile justice which have been published in numerous magazines including progressive and the Atlantic.
I spent the last 20 years working in nonprofit industrial complex as an advocate organizer ,campaign manager ,multimedia director and executive director.
Which is why I write non-fiction ,science-fiction mysteries horror and comedy because that’s what you live in a nonprofit industrial complex, they say write from your experience in outlook on society.
Unique traits: Extremely observant have had to work with a variety of people millionaires to children and families in objectivity poverty. All genders all political affiliations and be able to work with have great conversation and friends with people who have differences in experience outlook and ideology. I also grew up in poverty have a son with disabilities and have a life of experience that uniquely qualifies me to Truly understand and create complex characters from all walks of life. I am dyslexic which makes me creative and work harder to overcompensate for my disability/processing and comprehension difference.
