Candice Segarra-Stroud is a NYC bred, LA based multi-hyphenate creator. An Actor, Dancer, Choreographer, Movement Director, and Writer; she obtained a dual BA degree in Dance & Theatre from Manhattanville College in Purchase, NY in 2014, with a concentration in Dance Choreography, and a Minor in Communications. She has performed as an actor and dancer in live theater plays, and sketch comedy shows with Off-Off Broadway’s hip hop vaudeville comedy: Rebirth of Rabbit’s Foot. She had danced professionally with Cabaret dance company, Lyoness; with whom she currently works as their Assistant Director. She enjoys writing; and has performed her spoken word poetry and sketch comedy in local open mics, poetry slams and theatre shows throughout NYC. Candice’s dance credits include, Feinstein/54 Below, Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Disney World, New York City Center, Atlantic Records, Good Morning America, TRL and more. Candice’s acting credits include shows at The People's Improv Theater, WOW Cafe Theatre, Mixed Blood Theatre, The Broadwater Second Sage and more. She has dance-trained and performed in Italy and freelance performs with various entertainment, dance, theater companies and choreographers. Segarra is well versed in the performing arts, having studied acting for stage for 12 years and studied a wide variety of dance styles for 20+ years such as: ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, various urban street styles (vogue, street jazz), Latin dance styles (salsa, cha cha, mambo), modern dance, Heels, contemporary and musical theater. Segarra has also held title as the Choreographer and Director of her former dance theatre company, Segarra Dance Theatre Projects (2015-2018). She currently works in Film & Stage Production as a Production Manager, Stage Manager, and Props/Wardrobe. At this time, she is studying television writing and working on her own scripts. She aims to work as a Writer for a network TV show, and eventually becoming a Showrunner or Executive Producer of her own show.
