Shakilya Lawrence

I am Shakilya Lawrence, a freelance writer of 4 years, but I have been writing short stories and novels my entire life. Since childhood, tv and film have engulfed my world. I’m currently the Programming Director and Festival Manager for the Katra Film Series, a premiere NYC film festival series where I manage and curate the six festivals underneath the festival series. I'm also an emerging screenwriter and filmmaker, currently in the middle of shooting my first documentary.
