About Elliot

ELLIOT SOKOLOV is an eclectic composer, producer, sound designer and remixer based in New York. With a background in film and television scoring, concert music, electronica, rock/pop, dance and theatre, Elliot works in a wide mix of musical styles. His feature film work includes scores for the indie features "Broadway Damage," "Roughneck" and "Comeback". His documentary film scoring includes "Kings Park: Stories From An American Mental Institution", "The Restless Conscience" (nominated for an Academy Award); and "Golden Threads." TV music includes "Good Old Boy," "The River Pirates," "Seasonal Differences," "Nova", "Nature", "P.O.V.," "National Geographic Explorer," "Intimate Portrait," "Monsters" and more than 100 animations featured on "Sesame Street". Elliot has a Masters degree in music composition from Columbia University and has received a Composer Fellowship from the U.S. National Endowment for the Arts.
