Joy's journey into writing inspirational and faith-based dramas started just over a decade ago in Church. Completely hooked by the collaborative creativity that takes words off a page and shapes them into a living, breathing drama, she pursued the desire to both write and encourage others to produce inspirational dramatic content with a distinctly Caribbean voice. This journey has led her to host the annual Vocalise! Caribbean Conference for faith-based dramatic works in film, theatre, radio broadcasting and social media since 2014. It has also led her to write faith-based books, plays, radio dramas and screenplays. One of her screenplays, Dearest Daddy God, reached the semifinals of Movieguide's 2019 KAIROS PRIZE for Spiritually Uplifting Screenplays by First-Time and Beginning Screenwriters.
