Gwyn studied theater and playwriting at Carnegie Mellon University in the BFA program, and was an Emmy Award nominated Daytime TV actress with over a dozen contract and recurring roles- as well as appearing on Primetime TV series. Favorites include: All My Children (ABC), The Lucy Arnaz Show (CBS) and Woman of Valor (NBC- received an Emmy Award).
She received a graduate grant to study economics at Harvard and attended a graduate program (Political Science) at Oxford. She was a guest professor in Yale’s MFA drama program as well as that of University of California, Irvine. As a Marketing Expert/Mentor with clients on both coasts and internationally working in all medias she is the premier role model with winning Strategies and first-hand knowledge of the TV, Film and Theater Industries which she willing shares to help new actors succeed.
Gwyn founded Laight Street Films in New York’s Tribeca film community, creating Bloggers, a comedy pilot (HBO style) and her film, Fairytale (a short trailer was recently shot in Paris and the south of France.) Her film Pink Slip was selected as a finalist for the Beverly Hills Film Festival and the International Faith and Family Film Festival. Gwyn recently won First place in the Hanhai Film Studio’s Script Competition with an offer of a production contract. Through her film production company, Laight Street Films, she has successfully created and produced numerous prime time TV pilots/series including: City Hospital, L.A.J.D., Homeland Security, Justice, Fun At St. Agnes and most recently Haupt Air.
