Most recently, Heather was hired to adapt the screen version of a western novel and is currently shopping this project. She has other original projects including a female-centric Christmas comedy, a female-centric dramedy episodic series, a multi-cultural sitcom pilot, a kid’s show pilot, and bible. Plus, in the works, she has a contemporary faith-based comedy feature, and several reality shows --- a comedy competition, a spiritual re-enactment, and a documentary. She gets a thrill when comedy legend, Lewis Black, reads her original ‘rants’ during his live online broadcasts. Sticking with her entrepreneurial pursuits, she is developing a web/app entertainment-related business for one of her high-profile domain names. And, she is an Executive Producer seeking financing for a new original Broadway-bound musical.
Heather was a mainstage performer for two years at the L.A. Connection, an improv comedy club, and appeared at comedy clubs such as The Ice House, The Comedy Store, and The Laugh Factory. She has appeared in movies, TV series, industrial films, and on theaters stages as an actress in Chicago, New York, L.A., Las Vegas, and Phoenix. In Chicago, she was a series writer and regular performer on the kids’ show, The Magic Door, a radio DJ on WUSN-FM, and appeared on numerous stages including Steppenwolf Theatre. In New York, she was the Associate Producer of the hit Off-Broadway comedy, Only Kidding, written by Jim Geoghan starring Michael Jeter and Ralph Macchio. She produced and directed her original stage play off-off-Broadway which starred James Gandolfini in a lead role before his infamous run on the HBO series, The Sopranos. Her love of film/TV expanded into working in the high-end collectibles business and owning her own auction company specializing in Hollywood and Rock ‘n Roll memorabilia. She became a master marketer and P.R. professional promoting collectibles internationally garnering press in the country’s largest publications including the Wall Street Journal, Business Week, and The New York Times. As a result, she also became a regular on-camera guest and industry expert on news and entertainment programs all over the world such as The Howard Stern Show, Entertainment Tonight, and other high-profile pop culture shows. She was also a columnist writing about collectibles and interviewed Debbie Reynolds, Buffalo Bob Smith, and even, Charles Manson.
Heather is a graduate of Columbia College, Chicago where she majored in Advertising/Television. She studied improvisation with Chicago’s best at Second City, the Meisner Technique at Wisdom Bridge with Don DePollo, stand-up comedy with Judy Bell, and screenwriting with Robert McKee, among others.
