About JD

Born in North Wales 1978, JD grew up in Manchester. His grandfather Felix Roth was an officer in the british army & a dentist to the rich, as well as a magician with the famous 'magic circle'. His great aunt Dorothy Round was three times wimbledon champion in the 1930's & won the mixed doubles along side Fred Perry. she was entered into the 'Hall Of Fame' in 1985. JD worked as a stage hand with the theatres for more than 10yrs as well as being a DNB scratch DJ. As a raw actor & with a basic show reel, he sold everything he owned, gave up his job & flat, moving to London to film on Wrath Of The Titans & Jack The Giant Killer. After which JD then went on to become a special action sword fighter on Snow White & The Huntsman, Hollow Crown, Maleficant & Thor 2. he decided to hone & build his skills towards playing bad guys in all genres. JD has a life long career goal to play a main 'James Bond bad guy'. Building a characters personality & traits, using different accents to portray this. Quote -' bad guys have depth,layers, the best dialogue & action. they kill other characters, cause mayhem & their own death scene! its all the possibilities an actor could ever get from just one role!' - JD ROTH-ROUND
